Specifications

The UH-72A Lakota is one of the most versatile and functional helicopters in its weight class.  With a maximum takeoff weight of 7,903 lbs., this aircraft carries a useful load of 3,953 lbs. and has a maximum cruise speed of 145 kts. at sea level.

Power from its two Turbomeca ARRIEL 1E2 turboshaft engines is delivered through a hingeless main rotor system to the UH-72A’s advanced technology composite rotor blades.  This decreases vibration and noise while enhancing aerodynamic efficiency and mission performance.

The aircraft’s modular utility systems can be quickly installed and removed to meet demanding and evolving mission requirements, enhancing its flexibility to perform MEDEVAC, support, search and rescue, and command and control mission functions.
